I think it's really awesome that you're doing a Fraggle Rock movie! I loved that show when I was a kid! This, and Where The Wild Things Are, are two movies I am totally looking forward to.

I am thrilled to hear about the progress of this film under your direction. Many of us fans have been worried over the many phases of development, but it appears you understand the Fraggles for what they are and intend to translate that magic into a much deserved larger scale production. It makes me (and many of the other uber fans from Muppet Central that over dissect each scrap of news) very happy that this project has found the right leader.

Also, I liked Hoodwinked and am looking forward to the next one!

Don't worry, not all of we fans are in the 'it's going to be awful' camp. I know I am not..It's just, well, the more a show means to us and has a grounding in the core of our histories the more we would like a movie version to, even in it's bigger scale, remain true to the heart of things to show to the next generation:). Fraggle Rock was not just stage like the Muppet Show, it was a hope for a better tomorrow in place form. I know the idea of peace on earth (or at least a world with less war) isn't exactly 'cool', but I think our world really needs it now, even in a tiny part. As long as the movie has that feel somewhere in it I think it will do just fine...And if not, some of us geeky 80's children will most likely still buy the DVD :)

By the way, are you going to say anything about the gorg universe? There is a whole other world out there the show hardly even showed us, even less so than the human world...

Point well made about the feature always having to get bigger than the TV show in scope and daring. If you played it safe like some claim to want, then they would complain about it being just an extra long TV episode.

You're right, with some fans, you'll never win. I'm glad you have the courage to go with your instincts.
